How Many Views Does It Take to Make $1,000 on TikTok?
Updated 2026-08-27
You need about 1 million to 2.5 million qualified views to make $1,000 on TikTok. That uses the rate creators report for Creator Rewards: $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. The middle of that band puts your target near 1.4 million. Qualified views are stricter than raw views. The video has to run 60 seconds or longer. The viewer has to watch at least five seconds. So on your public counter, plan for 2 million to 5 million raw views.
| Qualified views | At $0.40 per 1,000 | At $0.70 per 1,000 | At $1.00 per 1,000 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100,000 | $40 | $70 | $100 |
| 250,000 | $100 | $175 | $250 |
| 500,000 | $200 | $350 | $500 |
| 1,000,000 | $400 | $700 | $1,000 |
| 1,430,000 | $572 | $1,001 | $1,430 |
| 2,000,000 | $800 | $1,400 | $2,000 |
| 2,500,000 | $1,000 | $1,750 | $2,500 |
| 5,000,000 | $2,000 | $3,500 | $5,000 |
How many views do you need to make $1,000 on TikTok?
You need about 1 million to 2.5 million qualified views to earn $1,000 from the TikTok Creator Rewards Program. The exact number depends on your rate, which creators report at $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. TikTok does not publish a rate card, so that band is the honest planning range.
Here is the arithmetic, done plainly. Your rate is quoted per 1,000 views. So divide $1,000 by your rate. That tells you how many blocks of 1,000 views you need. Then multiply by 1,000.
At $1.00 per 1,000 views: $1,000 divided by $1.00 is 1,000 blocks. That is 1,000,000 qualified views.
At $0.70 per 1,000 views: $1,000 divided by $0.70 is 1,429 blocks. That is about 1,430,000 qualified views.
At $0.40 per 1,000 views: $1,000 divided by $0.40 is 2,500 blocks. That is 2,500,000 qualified views.
Most creators sit near the middle of that band. So 1.4 million qualified views is your working number for $1,000. Our breakdown of TikTok pay per 1,000 views runs the same math at smaller amounts, and the free TikTok earnings calculator does the sums for you. You now have a real target instead of a guess.
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
Creators report $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views from Creator Rewards. That works out to $0.0004 to $0.001 per single view. Nobody gets a flat rate, because TikTok does not publish one.
TikTok works the amount out dynamically. Its published Creator Rewards terms for Europe say rewards are calculated based on the country the views come from, the number of views, engagement, and the authenticity of each view. Four dials, and you control three of them.
That is why two videos with the same view count pay different amounts. A million views from the United States and a million views from a country the program does not cover are not worth the same, because the country of origin feeds the formula. Creators also report that finance and business niches pay at the top of the band, and meme pages at the bottom.
TikTok publishes no rate card. So one independent analysis notes that creator-reported figures run from twenty cents per thousand views to eight dollars per thousand. Ignore the outliers. Plan on $0.40 to $1.00. Treat anything above it as a bonus. If you want the top of that band, build in a niche that pays it. Our TikTok RPM by niche guide names them, and the TikTok RPM calculator prices your own account. Pick right and the same work earns double.
TikTok views to earnings: the full band
The table at the top of this page turns qualified views into dollars across the creator-reported band. Find your view count in the left column, then read across. The $0.70 column is the middle of the band and the most realistic planning number for a US audience.
Read it in both directions. It tells you what a video will pay. It also tells you how many views a payout goal needs. One million qualified views pays $400 at the bottom of the band and $1,000 at the top. That gap is why niche and audience country matter so much. Pick the right niche and the right country and you earn at double the rate for the same work.
What counts as a qualified view on TikTok?
A qualified view is a view TikTok will actually pay for. TikTok's European Creator Rewards terms define it as a view where the user watches for five seconds or more and has not marked the video as not interested. Anything shorter is a scroll, and a scroll pays nothing.
The same terms rule out three more kinds of view. Views that are artificially produced or bought do not count. Your own views of your own video do not count. And repeat views from the same account are counted once, not over and over.
That last group is where a lot of money gets wasted. Cheap view panels and bot services sell numbers the payout filter is built to strip out. You pay for the traffic, the counter goes up, and the earnings line does not move. Real people watching real videos is the only input that pays. That is why real, organically grown followers are the only kind worth owning.
So your public view counter and your payable view counter are two different numbers. The counter on the video is every play. The payable number is only the plays that clear the five-second bar and come from a real account. Our guide to what counts as a qualified view breaks down every rule, and the free TikTok monetization checker shows where your account stands today. Know both numbers and you can forecast a payout instead of hoping for one.
Why your raw view count has to be higher
Your raw view target is always bigger than your qualified view target. Reported figures suggest 1 million public views yields only 500,000 to 800,000 qualified views, and the same analysis tells creators to apply a 50% discount to the public view count when planning. In plain terms, plan on about half your raw views surviving the filter. So double your qualified target and you have your raw target.
Here is the worked example. Your target was 1,430,000 qualified views for $1,000 at a $0.70 rate. Double it. That is about 2,860,000 raw views on the counter.
Run the same step across the band. At the top of the band you need 1,000,000 qualified views, so about 2 million raw views. At the bottom you need 2,500,000 qualified views, so about 5 million raw views.
That is the number almost nobody publishes. $1,000 on TikTok is a 2 million to 5 million raw view job. It is not one viral video. It is a run of long videos that hold attention past five seconds. Every extra second of watch time pushes more raw views into the paid column, and that is the one lever you fully control.
Which videos actually earn Creator Rewards?
Only long videos earn. TikTok's US program terms restrict rewards to eligible videos with a duration of at least 1 minute publicly posted on the platform. A 30-second video can pull ten million views and pay nothing from this program.
The content also has to be yours. When TikTok launched the program it said the rewards formula scores content unique to the creator, showcasing their point of view or creative thought process. A repost of someone else's clip is not unique to you, so it does not clear that bar.
Length is the rule people get wrong most often. Creators widely report that a video uploaded at exactly 1:00 can land a hair under 60 seconds once TikTok processes it, which drops it out of the program. So post at 1:01 or longer. Our page on TikTok's one-minute rule shows exactly where the line sits.
Put those rules together and the shape of a paid TikTok account is obvious. It posts original videos of 60 seconds or longer, in one niche, aimed at a paying country, built to hold viewers past the five-second mark. Our Creator Rewards Program explainer walks the full rule set. Post that way and a far higher share of your raw views turns into cash.
Who can join, and where does TikTok pay Creator Rewards?
You need 10,000 followers to get in, and the program runs in eight countries. Those are the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico. TikTok's US program terms require at least 10,000 authentic followers and at least 100,000 authentic total video views in the last 30 days. You also need a personal account and an age of 18 or over.
Mexico is the newest addition. Independent tracking of the eligible country list puts its start at October 1, 2025, alongside the seven markets already running. Your account has to be registered in one of the eight to join at all.
Country matters after you are in, too. The European terms name the country your views come from as one of four factors that set the reward amount. The other three are view count, engagement and authenticity. The definition of a qualified view does not mention country at all. So a US-heavy audience is worth chasing, because it lifts your rate.
There is a floor on payouts too. The US terms say rewards are paid on the 15th of each month once the payable amount meets a minimum threshold of $50.00 USD. Below $50, the balance rolls forward to the next cycle.
So the road to $1,000 has two gates, not one. First 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in a month. Then roughly 1.4 million qualified views on top of that. Our guide to how many followers it takes to get paid on TikTok maps every threshold in order. The list of Creator Rewards countries shows where the money lands. Clear both gates and every number on this page starts working for you.
Faster ways to reach $1,000 on TikTok
Chasing views is the slowest road to $1,000. It is also not the only one. Three other routes get there on a fraction of the reach, and creators who hit $1,000 quickly almost always stack two or three of them.
LIVE gifts pay per fan, not per view. Viewers buy coins and send gifts, which convert to diamonds you cash out. TikTok does not publish the split, but creators are estimated to keep roughly 30% of what viewers spend, and gifting opens at 1,000 followers rather than 10,000. Our TikTok LIVE gifts value guide shows what each gift is worth. A few loyal viewers on a regular LIVE schedule can beat a million passive views.
TikTok Shop pays the best of all, because you earn a cut of a sale instead of a cut of an ad. Sellers set their own affiliate rates. Reported data puts the average US commission at 13.02%, with LIVE shopping deals running 20% to 30%. At a 15% commission on a $60 product, $1,000 takes about 111 sales. That is a different sport from 1.4 million views.
Brand deals are the fourth lane. Reported rate cards put accounts with 50,000 to 500,000 followers at $125 to $1,000 per post. One deal at the top of that range is the whole $1,000, from a single video. See how TikTok pays you across every route to pick the mix that fits your niche, or price your own account with our TikTok account worth calculator. Stack two of these lanes and $1,000 stops being a view-count problem.
Start on the paid side of the 10,000-follower gate
Every number on this page assumes one thing. You are already through the door. Creator Rewards pays nothing until you have 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in a 30-day window. For most creators that is months of posting before the first dollar, and none of it is view math. It is just time.
That is the gate we sell past. A monetized TikTok account at $197 arrives with 10,000+ followers and Creator Rewards already active. So the math above works from your first upload, not your five-hundredth. A pre-grown TikTok account at $97 carries 1,000+ real followers and a year of account age. That is the exact follower count LIVE gifting opens at. An aged TikTok account at $57 gives you age and a clean history to build on.
We sell direct, at one fixed price. No bidding, no brokers, no escrow wait. The monetized and pre-grown accounts are grown with real, organically grown followers. Every account is handed over in good standing. You get the full credential set and a locked-down handover. The account is entirely yours.
Full credentials land within 24 hours of purchase. Every account is backed by a 7-day money-back guarantee and a 30-day account guarantee. Browse current stock in the account shop, or read what buyers say in our customer reviews. You can price any tier against the market with our TikTok account value by followers data. You skip the qualifying grind and spend your effort on the one thing that pays: watch time.
