How Do You Graduate From the TikTok Creator Pilot Program?
Updated 2026-09-06
You graduate from the TikTok Creator Pilot Program by reaching 5,000 followers after at least 30 days in the program, which lifts every pilot cap. There is also an early unlock for accounts still under 5,000. Hold a Creator Health Rating of at least 176 points, finish one task, stay 30 calendar days, then pass the Pilot Program Quiz. That opens the full Product Marketplace, shoppable LIVEs, and campaigns, but shoppable videos stay capped at 3 per day until you hit 5,000 followers. The task menu is 6 shoppable videos of 8 seconds or longer, one shoppable LIVE of 5 minutes or longer, or 10 orders from your content. Miss the tasks inside 30 days and some reset. Extended Pilot Creators cannot graduate until TikTok reviews them.
| Early-unlock task | Minimum | Time and effort | What counts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shoppable videos | 6 videos, each 8+ seconds | One afternoon of filming, posted over 2 or more days at the 3-per-day pilot cap | Original videos with a product linked. Deleted and private posts still count against the cap. Non-original or pirated clips risk an Extended Pilot flag |
| Shoppable LIVE | 1 LIVE, 5+ minutes | One session, under an hour including setup | A LIVE with a product link added that runs past the 5-minute mark. Pilot accounts get 3 shoppable LIVEs a week |
| Orders | 10 orders | Days to weeks, depends on views and product fit | Orders from your shoppable content in the past 30 days. TikTok's wording excludes fake orders |
What exactly are the graduation requirements for the Creator Pilot Program?
Full graduation takes two things: at least 30 days in the program and 5,000 followers. Hit both and every pilot cap comes off, including the limit on shoppable videos. There is also an early unlock for creators still under 5,000. It needs a Creator Health Rating of 176 or more and one task from a menu of three. Then 30 calendar days and a pass on the Pilot Program Quiz.
TikTok's Affiliate Creator Pilot Program introduction lists every piece. To remove all limits, your account needs to reach 5,000 followers and be in the program at least 30 days. The tasks are a separate lane that, in TikTok's words, unlock some limitations in advance. Post 6 or more shoppable videos of 8+ seconds, host one LIVE of 5+ minutes, or generate 10 orders from your shoppable content.
The early unlock stops short of the whole thing. TikTok's FAQ on the same page spells it out. Complete the tasks and you unlock all TikTok Shop promotional features except shoppable videos, which stay at 3 per day. Reach 5,000 followers and stay 30 days, and every limit goes.
The follower route is the clean one. TikTok's pilot program feature guide says that if your count passes 5,000 during the program, restrictions lift automatically and you get full posting rights. The newer introduction page adds the 30-day floor, so plan on both. No quiz, no task.
This page covers graduation only. For how the pilot works, how to apply, and what the caps are, start with our full TikTok Creator Pilot Program guide. The base affiliate rules still apply: 18 or older, US-based, and 1,000 followers, per TikTok's creator eligibility page. Our plain-English list of TikTok Shop affiliate requirements walks through each one.
How does the early unlock work, step by step?
The early unlock is four moves in order. Keep your health rating at 176 or above, finish one task, reach the 30-day mark, then pass the quiz. TikTok's introduction says the quiz invite comes once you have been in the program 30 calendar days and met the rest. Do the task early.
Days one and two: post your 6 shoppable videos. Each needs a product linked and must run 8 seconds or longer. TikTok's creator eligibility page caps pilot creators at 3 product promotion videos per day and 3 shoppable LIVEs per week. So six videos fit in two days if you film them in one sitting.
One stale number to ignore. TikTok's feature guide, dated June 2025, still lists 5 shoppable videos a week. The introduction page says that rule became 3 per day, with April 29, 2026 as the cutoff. Deleted and private shoppable posts still count against it.
Week one: bank a second task as insurance. Host one shoppable LIVE with a product link added and keep it running past 5 minutes. It is the cheapest task on the menu, with no editing.
Weeks two to four: push for orders and check your rating. The eligibility page counts the order task as 10 orders from your e-commerce content in the past 30 days, excluding fake orders. brandID's affiliate walkthrough adds a useful detail: your posting quota refreshes every Monday at midnight Pacific time. Build your week around it.
Day 30 onward: the quiz. TikTok's introduction says passing it gives full access to the Product Marketplace, shoppable LIVEs, and campaigns. The shoppable video cap stays at 3 per day until you pass 5,000 followers. Check the Pilot Program page in your account settings every Monday.
What is the 176-point Creator Health Rating, and how do you check and raise it?
The Creator Health Rating is TikTok Shop's 0-to-1,000 score for how your account behaves, and every new creator starts at 200 points. That means a fresh account already clears the 176-point bar. You only fall below it by losing 25 or more points to violations.
TikTok's Creator Health Rating overview sets out the bands. Green is 200 to 1,000 (healthy), orange is 151 to 199 (needs improvement), and red is 1 to 150 (at risk of deactivation). Zero means all e-commerce permissions are gone. The 176 bar sits inside the orange band. So a slightly bruised account can take the early unlock, but a badly damaged one cannot.
To check it, open Creator Center through TikTok Shop for Creators and scroll to the bottom. Hubfluence's CHR explainer gives the in-app path as Creator Center, then Account Standing, then CHR, where you get a weekly account health report. Points from content and orders are added every Monday, per TikTok's overview. A fix you make on Tuesday shows up the following week.
Raising it is slow. TikTok's overview says you earn 1 point for each perfect score on a Creator Policy Quiz tied to a violation. You earn 1 point each time a compliant video or LIVE produces at least one eligible order within 180 days. Another 1 point comes with every 50 completed orders. Each of those two streams caps at 5 points a week, so a rating at 160 needs at least two strong weeks to clear 176.
There is a quieter lever. The same overview says point deductions reset on their own after 90 days. And the fastest fix is not losing points at all. Deductions come from breaking the Content Policy, the Creator Terms of Use, or other policies. Hubfluence lists the common causes: unoriginal content, misleading claims, and prohibited products.
Why did your milestones reset, and how do you avoid the 30-day loop?
Milestones reset because you reached day 30 without finishing a task or without 176 points. TikTok's feature guide is blunt about it. If you cannot hit the tasks inside the 30-day timeline, some of them reset. You get another 30 days to try again.
Every miss adds another 30 days, which is how a 30-day program turns into months. Nothing about the bar is hard. The problem is timing. Post two videos in week one, get busy, and you hit day 30 with four. The clock does not pause for a slow week.
The fix is front-loading. Finish a task in the first 10 days, then spend the rest of the cycle keeping your rating clean and growing followers. Note TikTok's exact wording: some of the tasks will reset. It does not say which ones. Assume the worst and treat each cycle as a fresh 30-day sprint.
Watch the order window too. TikTok's eligibility page counts orders from the past 30 days. So early sales can age out of the window if you loop into a second cycle. If you are chasing orders, chase them in the same cycle you plan to unlock in.
Followers are the parallel lane, and the only lane that lifts the video cap. The pilot caps shoppable posts only. TikTok's introduction says non-shoppable videos and LIVEs are unlimited, so use them to grow. Our page on TikTok follower milestones maps what each tier unlocks. And our guide to TikTok Shop affiliate without 5,000 followers covers every route if the count is the only thing holding you.
What is an Extended Pilot Creator, and can they graduate?
An Extended Pilot Creator is a pilot account TikTok has flagged for low-quality, mass-produced, or non-original content, or for repeat policy breaks. Extended Pilot Creators cannot graduate until TikTok reviews the account and clears the flag.
TikTok's pilot introduction defines the label. It covers creators who mass-produce low-cost content, post large amounts of non-original or pirated content, or repeatedly break content policies within a set period. The caps drop to 3 shoppable videos per week and 1 shoppable LIVE per week. A standard pilot account gets 3 videos per day, so that is a seventh of the room.
On getting out, TikTok says only this: avoid breaking platform rules and reduce low-quality content. It will then review your account regularly and reconsider your eligibility. It publishes no schedule for that review. So delete reposted and pirated clips, post your own footage, and stop posting anything that skirts the rules.
The flag can also outlast the pilot. TikTok's creator eligibility page says rule breakers face enforcement, including longer shoppable video limits. If a cap remains after graduation, it says to check your Creator Health Rating page for unresolved violations. Serious cases lose e-commerce access for good. If your selling tools have already vanished, our guide to revoked TikTok Shop permissions covers the usual triggers and what recovery looks like.
Check where you stand before you plan. The introduction page says you can see your status on the Pilot Program page. If it reads Extended, pause the task chase and clean the account first. The work you have done is not lost. TikTok's eligibility page says completed tasks keep their status, so they are waiting for you once the review clears the flag.
What happens on the day you graduate?
On graduation day the pilot caps come off and the full affiliate toolkit opens. That means the whole Product Marketplace, unlimited shoppable videos and LIVEs, and campaigns. The early unlock gives you the marketplace, LIVEs, and campaigns, with videos still capped at 3 per day.
TikTok's introduction page ties the early unlock to the quiz: pass it, and you get full access to the Product Marketplace, shoppable LIVEs, and campaigns. On the follower route, the feature guide says restrictions lift automatically and full posting rights unlock. Check the Pilot Program page, then check your product picker.
Two things to do that day. First, add products from shops rated under 95%, which the feature guide says were hidden during the pilot, and look at open campaigns. Second, request free samples if you have made a sale. The feature guide unlocks free sample requests at your first sale. If the cart button is still missing from your posting flow, that is a separate gate, covered in our page on product showcase permission.
Do not relax on conduct. Your Creator Health Rating keeps running after graduation, and TikTok's eligibility page says unresolved violations can keep posting limits in place. The pilot ends. The scoring does not.
Then model the money. TikTok's graduation rules say nothing about commission, so the gain is volume: more products, more posts, and campaigns. Our TikTok earnings calculator models the Creator Rewards side, so you can set view payouts next to your Shop commissions.
Is there a way to skip the pilot entirely?
Yes, two ways. Apply with 5,000 or more followers and you skip the pilot lane. Or work from an account that already carries full Shop affiliate access, so there is no pilot label to graduate from.
The follower route is the clean one. TikTok's feature guide says the pilot is for creators with 1,000 to 5,000 followers, so an account above that never enters it. Getting a new account from zero to 5,000 can take months of steady posting. And the pilot's caps slow the shoppable posting a Shop audience is built on.
That wall is why some operators start with an established account that already has full TikTok Shop affiliate access, from $197. No product-pool filter, no quiz, no 30-day clock, selling from day one. If you only need to clear the 1,000-follower floor to apply, our pre-grown TikTok account starts at $97 with 1,000+ real followers. You enter the pilot on day one, not after months of growing to 1,000.
Be clear-eyed about the trade. Account transfers go against TikTok's terms of service, so the handover is what decides how it goes. That is why we vet account history and standing, and deliver complete credentials and recovery paths within 24 hours. Behind that sits a 7-day money-back plus a 30-day account guarantee. That is mitigation, not immunity, and you can hold us to it.
Whoever you buy from, check them first. Our teardown of TikTok account-buying scams lists the tells that separate real sellers from recycled-account flippers. Run us through it too. What you can count on either way: the numbers above are TikTok's own, checked against its published pages before we wrote this.
