Is SWAPD Legit? An Honest Review of swapd.co

Updated 2026-08-30

Short answer

Yes. SWAPD is a real marketplace, not a scam site. It has run since 2017, it is owned by VEYYO Limited Partnership in Ontario, Canada, and staff review every deal by hand. It is one of the tighter-run account marketplaces: members pass ID checks through SumSub, and you pay SWAPD instead of a stranger. Two things to know before you buy. Fees are paid by the seller. SWAPD's published chart runs 3% to 11% by tier and payment method, with a $35 minimum on deals under $350. And SWAPD's own terms say it does not provide escrow services - it acts as Merchant of Record, and refunds are at its discretion.

Is SWAPD legit?

Yes. SWAPD is a real marketplace, not a scam site. It has traded since 2017 and it is owned by VEYYO Limited Partnership, a firm registered in Ontario, Canada.

It is also one of the more careful places to buy a social account. Staff read every deal before money moves. Members pass an ID check. You pay a company, not a stranger's crypto wallet. That is a stronger setup than most account boards offer.

There is one thing to know before you send money. SWAPD's terms of service say the company "does not provide custodial, fiduciary, brokerage, trust, investment, escrow, or payment institution services." So it is not an escrow. It is a Merchant of Record. We unpack what that changes for you below.

One line of housekeeping. MonetizedNow sells TikTok and YouTube accounts too, so SWAPD is a competitor of ours. Every claim here links to a page you can open and read yourself.

Who runs SWAPD?

VEYYO Limited Partnership runs SWAPD out of Ontario, Canada. SWAPD's own FAQ says the platform was "Established in 2017 by industry veterans" and that VEYYO acts as Merchant of Record for all transactions.

Merchant of Record is the phrase that matters. When you buy on SWAPD, you are buying from VEYYO, not from the person who wrote the listing. VEYYO invoices you, takes the money in its own name, and pays the seller later. SWAPD calls those sellers subcontractors.

Joining costs nothing. The FAQ says standard membership is free and Premium is optional. ID checks are not optional. SWAPD runs AML and KYC verification through SumSub, an outside identity provider, and requires ID from sellers and higher-value buyers.

One rule catches people out. The terms say SWAPD does not currently serve customers located in Canada, because of VEYYO's tax structure, and it can cancel a deal that shows a Canadian billing address. Check that before you plan around it. We ran this same document-first check on a rival board in our Fameswap review.

How does SWAPD escrow work?

SWAPD does not run an escrow, and its terms say so outright. What it runs instead is a staff-managed checkout: you pay SWAPD, staff watch the handover, and SWAPD pays the seller once your review window closes.

SWAPD's how it works guide lists six steps. You browse the listings. You open a checkout ticket, where both sides confirm what is being sold, the agreed price and the payment method. Staff review those terms and apply fees. You send payment to SWAPD. The seller hands over the asset while staff watch. Then the last step starts.

That last step is your protection. The guide says the buyer gets a "mandatory grace period to review everything" once delivery is done, and that any problem "must be raised during this period so it can be reviewed and resolved." Miss that window and you have given up your best lever.

Here is how this differs from real escrow, and it is not a small thing. The terms on ownership of funds state that once payment lands, "legal title to funds transfers to VEYYO Limited Partnership." Your money is not parked in a trust account with your name on it. It is SWAPD's money, and SWAPD decides when it moves. The company has run deals this way for years, and the process works. It just means the referee also holds the ball. If you want the other model explained, we broke down how account escrow works and where its cover stops.

What keeps you safe inside SWAPD's version is the review window. SWAPD only pays the seller once your grace period closes, so raising a problem inside the ticket is the lever that actually moves money. Check the account properly in that window and the model is working for you.

What does SWAPD charge?

Sellers pay the SWAPD fee, not buyers. SWAPD's published fee chart puts it at 9% for a regular member paying in crypto and 10% by bank wire, and the rate drops as members climb the tiers.

The ladder is easy to read. On crypto, a Safety Concern account pays 10%. Regular and Premium pay 9%. VIP pays 8% and falls to 5% on the biggest deals. Diamond Club runs 7% down to 4%. Millionaire Club and SWAPD Partner members pay as little as 3%. Bank wire is a point higher than crypto at most tiers, from 11% at the bottom tier down to 6% for Partners. Cards cost 7% and stop at a $2,000 limit.

Small deals take the hardest hit. The chart says "Transactions under 350 USD warrant a minimum 35 USD SWAPD fee." It also warns that the chart covers SWAPD's cut only, and that money transfer fees of 0.25% to 3.9% sit on top depending on how you pay. Worth noting: the chart bottoms out at 3%, while SWAPD's terms describe the same fee band as 2% to 11%. Standard bank wires are capped at $10,000, though wires run through Trustap have no limit.

So what does a buyer hand over? Mostly the sticker price. The percentage is the seller's cost, and sellers build it into the asking price, which is how a 9% cut reaches your wallet without ever showing up on your invoice. Transfer costs are the part to watch: SWAPD's process page says they get confirmed inside the ticket, so ask who is carrying them before you pay. That is normal for a marketplace. Just do not read "sellers pay the fees" as "the fees are free." Our fee-by-fee look at Fameswap, Flippa and SWAPD puts the three schedules on the same deal so you can see the gap.

Is SWAPD safe to buy from?

SWAPD is safer than an open listings board, and its own terms set clear limits on that safety. Staff run every deal, members are ID-checked, and a named company takes your payment. Refunds, though, are discretionary rather than automatic.

Start with what works in your favour. Nothing moves until staff have reviewed the deal terms. Delivery happens under supervision. You get a mandatory window to inspect what you received. And because VEYYO is the contracting party, there is a real business on the other side of the invoice instead of a username.

Now the limits, straight from the refund and dispute terms. Refunds "are not automatic and shall be issued solely at the discretion of VEYYO LP." A refund or cancellation carries a 1% processing fee. If staff have to dig into a dispute, SWAPD may charge a 5% dispute resolution fee. Once a deal is marked complete it is treated as final, and staff decisions are "final and binding."

One clause matters more than the rest. SWAPD gives "no representation or warranty that any digital account" will "remain available, recoverable, transferable, monetizable, or free from suspension, restriction, deletion, recovery, or enforcement action by third party platforms." On top of that, its total liability on a deal is capped at the lesser of its own fee or $500. Read those two lines before you spend five figures.

None of that makes SWAPD a bad choice. It makes the grace period the most valuable thing you get. Use it hard: log in, change the password, move the recovery email and phone to addresses you control, check whether the followers look real, and raise anything wrong inside the ticket before you approve. Do that and you are using the strongest part of the model. Our guide to account buying scams lists the exact checks worth running in that window.

Can anyone join SWAPD?

No. SWAPD approves members one by one. Its registration policy says the platform "is intentionally selective" and that "Creating an account does not guarantee acceptance, and approval does not guarantee permanent access."

The policy is unusually blunt about what gets a signup rejected. Registering through a VPN, proxy or Tor. Any link to a previously banned account. Details that look inconsistent. Or a home country that is temporarily restricted because of fraud or abuse. It also says SWAPD may not tell you why you were turned down, since explaining the checks would help people beat them.

Getting in is only half of it. Listing approval is separate. SWAPD says it can reject an offering for being low quality, too risky, hard to verify, or simply because it does not want to support that kind of listing.

That gate is exactly why SWAPD's listings look cleaner than an open board. It is also why buying there takes days rather than minutes. If you would rather browse and check out today, a store that owns its own stock skips the queue completely. You can see the TikTok accounts we have listed without filling in an application.

What does SWAPD check before a listing goes live?

SWAPD checks people harder than most marketplaces and checks accounts less than a vetted store does. Its published standards say every member passes AML and KYC verification through SumSub, and that SWAPD does "not permit artificially inflated, botted, or fake accounts."

That is a real standard, and it is more than most rival boards put in writing. Staff also review listings before they appear and can pull anything they judge too risky or too hard to verify. Credit where it is due: this is a moderated market, not a free-for-all.

The gap is between a rule and a guarantee. The same terms that ban fake accounts also say contractors "remain solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, and technical performance" of what they sell, and that VEYYO "does not warrant any specific commercial outcome." A policy against botted accounts is not a check on the specific account you are about to buy. That part stays yours.

From the outside, the picture is clean. The automated checker Scamadviser rates swapd.co "Very Likely Safe" and concludes that "we think swapd.co is legit and safe for consumers to access," pointing to high traffic rank and positive user reviews. The same report flags one negative: it detects crypto services on the site, which it calls higher risk. Automated scores are blunt tools and we do not treat them as proof either way. Nothing in this one points at a scam. We run the same evidence check on the rest of the market, including our IGV review and our read on Accs-Market.

SWAPD or a fixed-price store?

Pick SWAPD if the deal is large and you want trained staff in the room. Pick a fixed-price store if you want one account, one price, and delivery today.

SWAPD earns its fees at the top end. Its fee brackets run all the way to $100,000, which tells you where the platform really lives. When a mistake costs five figures, a managed checkout and a human dispute process are worth 9% of the deal.

For a single account the math flips. At our store, a monetized TikTok account with 10,000 or more real followers and Creator Rewards active is $197. A monetized YouTube channel with 1,000 or more subscribers, 4,000 or more watch hours and AdSense active is $499. Pre-Grown TikTok accounts are $97 and aged TikTok accounts start at $57. On the YouTube side, Pre-Grown channels are $97 and aged channels are $57. No application, no bidding, no fee chart to decode.

Here is what comes with the price. We check the account before it is listed. Full credentials land within 24 hours. Every sale carries a 7-day money-back guarantee plus a 30-day account guarantee, so you are covered on the money and on the account. If YouTube is your lane, browse the channels we have in stock.

Be clear-eyed either way. Buying an account breaks TikTok's and YouTube's terms of service, wherever you buy it. That is a platform rule, not a law, and the practical risk is losing the account. A careful handover keeps that risk low: every credential moved, every recovery path changed, nothing left behind in the seller's hands. That is how ours is built, and our account transfer guide walks each step.

The bottom line on SWAPD: legit, well moderated, and priced for big deals. Read its refund clauses before you commit, use the grace period, and it is a sound place to trade. If you just want one monetized account, at a set price, in your hands today, that is a different job and a different shop.

No application. No fee chart.

Vetted TikTok accounts and YouTube channels at fixed prices. Full credentials within 24 hours, 7-day money-back plus a 30-day account guarantee.
