Is the TikTok Creator Rewards Program Available in Indonesia?

Updated 2026-09-05

Short answer

No. The TikTok Creator Rewards Program is not available in Indonesia in 2026. It runs in eight countries only: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico. An Indonesian account cannot join it. A second rule bites even harder. The program pays only for qualified views, and a view from Indonesia can never be one. Those views pay $0, even for a creator who is already in the program. Inside the eight countries you still need 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, a Personal account rather than a Business one, and to be 18 or over. Videos have to run over one minute, and payouts start at $50. Creators report roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified US views. For scale, TikTok's own ad tools showed a reach of 180 million adults in Indonesia in late 2025. None of them pay a Creator Rewards rate.

Is TikTok Creator Rewards available in Indonesia?

No. Indonesia is not one of the eight countries where the program runs. Creator Rewards is open in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico. That list is the whole list.

Country is the first gate. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program terms ask you to live in a country where the program is offered. The same terms say you must not use a VPN or a similar tool. An Indonesian account fails that test before follower counts matter at all.

The other rules only apply once your country is in. TikTok's terms set four of them:

At least 10,000 authentic followers.

At least 100,000 authentic video views in the last 30 days.

Age 18 or over.

A personal account, not a Business Account.

You can clear all four in Jakarta and still be locked out. There is no form to fill in and no queue to join. The payout option simply never shows up in the app.

This is not about how big you are. TikTok's own ad tools showed a reach of 180 million adults in Indonesia in late 2025, which DataReportal's Digital 2026 report puts at 88.9% of all Indonesian adults. That is an advertiser estimate, not a head count. Either way, Indonesia is one of the largest TikTok markets on earth, and it still pays nothing per view.

The full list of eligible countries sits on our Creator Rewards countries page. The answer is the same for Egypt, and for every other country outside the eight.

Why do views from Indonesia pay $0?

Because the program pays for qualified views, and a view from Indonesia can never be one. A qualified view is much narrower than a view.

Four things have to be true at the same time. TikTok's program terms spell them out:

The video runs one minute or longer.

The viewer watches for five seconds or more.

The viewer did not mark the video as not interested.

The viewer is in one of the eight countries.

Two more details sit on top. Repeat views from the same account count once. And a video has to reach 1,000 qualified views before it earns at all.

A view from Jakarta or Surabaya fails the country test, so it earns nothing. That is a second gate, and it stays shut after you clear the first one. A creator who moves to the United States still earns $0 on every Indonesian viewer they keep.

Here is the math, and it only works on a video over a minute long. Say that video gets 1,000,000 views, and 100,000 of them are qualified US views. At a creator-reported $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified US views, it pays about $40 to $100. The other 900,000 views pay nothing.

Now flip it. The same video with 1,000,000 qualified US views pays about $400 to $1,000. Same view count. Ten times the money.

Post that video at 30 seconds and it pays $0, wherever the viewers sit. Length is a hard floor and it is easy to miss.

So an Indonesian-language account built for viewers at home earns very little from Creator Rewards, even when the account itself is eligible. The audience is in the wrong place. Our qualified views page covers the rest of the tests, and how TikTok pays you covers the payout side.

What actually earns money on TikTok in Indonesia?

Selling does. TikTok Shop is live in Indonesia, and shop sales, affiliate commission, brand deals and your own products all pay creators there. None of them wait for TikTok to switch a country on.

That is the big difference between Indonesia and most countries outside the eight. TikTok's own seller site lists Indonesia as a market where you can sign up to sell. Shop money is not paid per view, so the viewer's country is not the gate. What counts is whether somebody buys.

Creator affiliate commission runs on the same logic. You feature a product, a viewer buys it, and you take a cut of the sale. There is no eight-country check on a purchase, because Creator Rewards and TikTok Shop are separate products with separate rules.

That makes selling, not views, the main TikTok income route in Indonesia. It also means those 180 million reachable adults are worth real money to a creator there. Just not Creator Rewards money.

LIVE gifts are the one thing we cannot answer for you. TikTok's LIVE monetization page says creators must be at least 18 and keep an account in good standing. It also says some monetization features are only available in selected countries and regions, and it does not publish that list. So open the LIVE menu in your own app and see what your account is offered. Do not trust a blog list here, ours included.

Brand deals have no country switch at all. A brand pays you directly, in rupiah or anything else you agree on. Nothing in that deal depends on TikTok's payout map, so the brand decides what your audience is worth.

Selling your own thing works the same way. A course, a service, a product, a booking. TikTok is only the traffic. The money moves through your own checkout.

Buying followers or engagement is not a shortcut to any of this. TikTok's terms ask for authentic followers and authentic views, so bought numbers do not get an account into Creator Rewards. To see where your own account really stands today, run it through our TikTok monetization checker.

Why does TikTok Shop in Indonesia run through Tokopedia?

Because Indonesia banned social commerce in 2023, and TikTok bought its way back in. Shopping inside the TikTok app there now runs through Tokopedia, an Indonesian e-commerce company.

The short history helps. Indonesia announced a rule on 28 September 2023 that stopped social media platforms from handling sales. TikTok then shut TikTok Shop Indonesia at 5pm on Wednesday 4 October 2023 to comply, as the Associated Press reported. Ministers said the goal was protecting small traders, some of whom reported losing more than half their profits to cheap online imports.

The fix arrived in December. GoTo, the parent company of Tokopedia, announced on 11 December 2023 that Tokopedia and TikTok Shop Indonesia would be combined under the existing PT Tokopedia company. TikTok took a controlling stake and committed to invest over US$1.5 billion in it over time. The same release says the shopping features inside the TikTok app in Indonesia are operated and maintained by that combined company.

So the shop tab came back, and it now sits inside an Indonesian-licensed business. GoTo's release says more than 90 percent of the combined business's merchants are small and medium enterprises. That is who the rule was written for.

It is also why the Indonesia link on TikTok's seller site points at a Tokopedia address rather than a TikTok one. For a viewer it is the same shopping experience. The company behind the checkout is the part that changed.

None of this touches Creator Rewards. Shop and Creator Rewards are different products with different country lists, and Indonesia has one and not the other. TikTok has announced no plan to add Indonesia to Creator Rewards.

The practical read is a good one. The income route that survived the ban is the route that pays best in Indonesia anyway. Selling was never blocked by the eight-country rule, and it still is not.

Indonesia has one of the world's biggest TikTok audiences and earns $0 per view

Indonesia's TikTok audience is huge. Under Creator Rewards it is worth nothing. Those two facts sitting next to each other are why this page exists.

DataReportal's Digital 2026 Indonesia report puts TikTok's adult ad reach at 180 million people in late 2025. That is 88.9% of every adult in the country. Reach grew by 15.0 million in a year, up 9.1%.

For scale, Indonesia's population was about 286 million in October 2025, with 230 million internet users. Read the 180 million as an advertiser estimate rather than a head count, because ad tools measure reach, not people.

One more number is worth knowing before you pitch a brand. DataReportal found that 56.3% of TikTok's adult ad audience in Indonesia was female and 43.7% was male. That skew shapes which brands will want you and which will not.

Now put that next to the money. A creator in Mexico with a fraction of that audience can join Creator Rewards. A creator in Bandung with ten million views a month cannot. Reach and pay are not the same thing, because TikTok pays by country rather than by the work.

Follower count is not the blocker either. The follower bar is 10,000, and plenty of Indonesian accounts are far past it. Location is what stops them.

So build for what pays where you are. Shop sales, affiliate commission, brand deals and your own offers all run on an Indonesian audience. Creator Rewards is the one that does not, and it is the one worth planning around rather than waiting for.

How can a creator in Indonesia get inside Creator Rewards?

There are two honest routes. Move to one of the eight countries and live there, or run an account that is already based in one of them. There is no third route.

Moving is the clean one. It is also slow and expensive. TikTok's terms ask you to live in an eligible country, which in practice means an address and local payment details. It is not a setting you flip in the app.

A VPN is not a route. It changes your IP address for a session. TikTok's program terms say plainly that you must not use a VPN or a similar tool, and a VPN does not change where you live or where your money lands.

The second route is a US-based account. It clears both gates at once. The account already sits in an eligible country, and a US audience produces the views that actually pay, at a creator-reported $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views.

This is what we sell, so read the next part with that in mind. Our Monetized TikTok Account is $197 flat. It is US-based, Creator Rewards is already switched on, and it is delivered in under 24 hours.

Now the honest part. TikTok's terms of service tell users not to transfer an account to anyone else without TikTok's permission. Buying or selling an account breaks that rule, and TikTok can act on an account that breaks it. What we put behind ours is a vetted history, a complete handover inside 24 hours, a 30-day account guarantee, and 7-day money-back if you change your mind.

It is not a machine that prints money either. You still have to post, and the second gate still applies. If your videos land with Indonesian viewers, a US account earns very little. If they run under a minute, they earn nothing. The account clears eligibility for you. The audience is still your job.

If you want the bar spelled out before you decide anything, read why Creator Rewards applications get rejected and our full Creator Rewards Program breakdown. If the US route is the one you want, buy a USA TikTok account has the detail on how the handover works.

Indonesia is outside the eight. A US-based account is not.

Our Monetized TikTok Account is $197 flat. It is US-based, Creator Rewards is already on, and it is delivered in under 24 hours. Be clear on one thing before you buy from anyone: TikTok's terms of service tell users not to transfer an account to anyone else without TikTok's permission, so buying an account breaks a platform rule. What we put behind ours is a vetted history, a complete handover inside 24 hours, a 30-day account guarantee, and 7-day money-back.
