Is TikTok Creator Rewards available in Tunisia?

No. Tunisia is not one of the eight countries where Creator Rewards runs. The eight paying countries are the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico. No African country is on that list, and there is no waiting list to join.

The first gate is where you live. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program terms say the creator must be a legal resident of a country where the Program is made available. The creator also has to be 18 years of age or older. Sfax, Sousse or Tunis all fail that line before a follower count gets read. The full list sits on our Creator Rewards countries hub.

The other gates only matter once your country is in. TikTok's EEA program terms set the floor at 10,000 authentic followers, plus 100,000 authentic video views in total over the last 30 days. The account cannot be a Business Account. Nothing is paid out until the balance reaches $50 or its equivalent in local currency.

So a Tunisian creator never gets rejected. There is nothing to apply for, and the payout tab simply never shows up. You can pass 50,000 followers, post twice a day for a year, and the app still offers you nothing.

That is a different problem from a no inside one of the eight. If you live in a paying country and TikTok turned you down, the cause is usually one of a few fixable things. We walk through each of them on our Creator Rewards rejected page.

Why do views from Tunisia pay $0?

Because the program pays for qualified views only, and a view from inside Tunisia can never be one. A qualified view is a narrow thing with four parts, and all four must be true at once.

TikTok's EEA program terms spell them out. The video must be one minute or longer. The viewer must watch for five seconds or more and must not mark it as not interested. Views generated from the same user account are counted as one view.

Then comes the fifth test, the one that hurts. The same terms say rewards are calculated by the country the views come from, and only the eight paying countries carry a rate. A view from Tunis, Sousse or Sfax fails that test, so it pays nothing. Our qualified views page goes through each test in turn.

Put numbers on it. Creators who share their payouts report roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified US views. A video with 2,000,000 views and 100,000 qualified US views pays about $40 to $100. The other 1,900,000 views pay nothing at all.

Now give that same video 2,000,000 qualified US views, and it pays about $800 to $2,000. That is the same reach for twenty times the money. The rate follows the viewer's country, not the size of the view count.

Length is the easy one to get wrong. A 50-second video pays $0 even if every viewer is in Texas. We explain the cutoff on our one-minute rule page, and it applies in all eight countries the same way.

Which countries with a big Tunisian diaspora actually pay?

France and Germany pay, and Italy does not. That split matters, because France, Italy and Germany each hold a large Tunisian community, and only two of them sit inside the eight.

France is the big one. France's statistics office INSEE puts the number of immigrants born in Tunisia living in France at 347,000 in 2023. That is 10% of all immigrants born in Africa who live in France, and it leaves out their French-born children. A viewer in Paris, Lyon or Marseille can produce a qualified view.

Germany pays too, and its Tunisian community is growing. Eurostat counted 53,893 Tunisian citizens living in Germany on 1 January 2025, up from 48,084 a year earlier. Views from Berlin, Frankfurt or Munich can count.

Italy is the catch. Eurostat puts 123,828 Tunisian citizens in Italy on 1 January 2025, up from 110,395 in 2024 and more than double the German figure. Italy is not one of the eight, so every one of those views pays $0. The bigger of the two communities sits in a country that TikTok does not pay.

Now the part people get wrong. French or German viewers do not make a Tunis-based account eligible. They only raise the payout of an account that already qualifies. Someone living inside the eight has to hold the account before a single view pays.

So France is a content plan for an eligible account, not a back door for a Tunisian one. Videos in French, made for people living in France, can build an audience that carries a rate. Our Algeria page and Morocco page show the same France logic from two other starting points.

What actually earns money on TikTok in Tunisia today?

Direct brand deals and things you sell yourself. A creator in Tunisia can do both today, and neither depends on TikTok adding a country to any list.

TikTok Shop is a check-your-app answer. TikTok's newsroom names the markets it has opened in Europe. Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland joined France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK from 15 June 2026. Tunisia is not in that announcement, and we found no TikTok source that names a Tunisian Shop market. So do not plan on affiliate commission. Getting paid is the practical question in Tunisia. The US trade guide says the Tunisian dinar is convertible for current-account transactions. The same guide says companies or individuals engaging in foreign trade can apply to the Central Bank of Tunisia for a convertible currency account. So for anyone selling to brands abroad, sort the account first and agree the fee second.

Brand deals rest on the one thing TikTok cannot switch off, which is an audience a brand wants. A Tunisian creator with 200,000 engaged viewers in Tunis is valuable to a local telecom, a food brand or a travel company. The rate is negotiated between two people, not set by a program, and the payout map never enters the conversation. A payment route set up in advance is the difference between a paid invoice and a three-month chase.

Your own products work the same way, whether that is a course, a service, a design package or a physical product. TikTok sends the traffic, and the money lands in a checkout you picked. No platform switch is needed, and no country list can shut it off.

Bought followers do none of this. Every follower and view the program counts has to be authentic under TikTok's terms. Padded numbers do not clear a gate, and they can cost you the account.

How many people in Tunisia use TikTok?

About 6 million adults. TikTok's ad tools reported 6.00 million users aged 18 and above in Tunisia in late 2025, which DataReportal puts at 67.6% of all adults. That is an advertiser estimate, not a head count, but it is the best public number there is.

It is still growing. DataReportal's figures also show TikTok's potential ad reach in Tunisia climbing by 379,000 people, or 6.7%, between the end of 2024 and late 2025. None of that growth came with a pay-per-view program attached.

The country behind it is small and very online. Tunisia's population stood at 12.4 million in October 2025. There were 10.4 million internet users at the end of 2025, or 84.3% of the country, and 7.83 million social media user identities. The median age was 32.9 years.

Set that next to the payout map. Two out of three Tunisian adults are on TikTok, and none of them produce a view that pays. A creator in Brazil or Mexico with a tenth of that audience can pass the country gate. Reach and pay are two different maps, and only one of them has Tunisia on it.

Language is the quiet advantage. Tunisian creators already post in Arabic and French, and French is the language of the biggest paying market for Tunisian diaspora views. A French-language video can travel from Tunis to Paris inside the same feed. Many other non-eligible countries have no bridge like that into a paying market.

How can a creator in Tunisia get inside Creator Rewards?
